About Artist Barry A Biddle

Barry A Biddle, Artist

I create art for people who care deeply about the world around them, and who have the ability to find joy wherever they are… sometimes in unlikely places.

For me, art is more than just something to hang on a blank wall or sit on a table. I want the pieces you own to put a smile on your face, or trigger a fond memory, or cause you to think deeply.

My collectors are people who find joy in the little things, and who want to live in an environment that continually calls them to joy and gratitude.

Decor Magazine July 1975 ft Barry A Biddle & Serigraphix Gallery 250x437

My career has spanned six decades. I was born near Pittsburgh, PA and currently live in Kansas City, MO. I hold a BA in Art Education from Graceland University.

In the 1970’s, my partner and I owned and operated our own art galleries, Serigraphix 1 and Serigraphix 2, in Kansas City. Our art and the galleries were featured as the cover story in the July 1975 issue of Décor Magazine.

Since selling the galleries, I have been a pastry chef, a gentleman farmer, and an ordained minister. But I never stopped creating art through all of that, even if it was just air-brushing Santa faces on Christmas cookies.

Nowadays, I split my time between my two loves: art and gardening. Naturally, gardening takes priority in the summer, with art taking over in the winter.

With this website, I want to share the best of both the old and the new. Here you’ll find open-edition digitized reproductions of the serigraph (silk screen) images from my gallery days, as well as recently created original pieces.

My goal is to release one new reproduction and add one original piece to the site every month. Sign up now to get email updates as new art becomes available.

I’m glad you’re here!
