Artist’s Thoughts
Most of my animal portraits are done in portrait orientation. I chose to do the lion in landscape orientation to make room for his full glorious mane.
Like many of my silk screens, this image was originally printed on a colored paper. But unlike the others, instead of allowing the paper to provide the background color, I chose to print the background with white ink.
